"The two Cologne-based Computerjockeys Wolfgang Hagedorn and Digital Jockey were amongst the first musicians who replaced two turntables with two laptop-computers.
1999, after three years of touring and many remixes they published their debut-album Computerjockeys' on the famous label
Harvest'. They have recently also started producing soundtracks. The Computerjockeys produce their tracks on the PC, they don't use any external instruments or MIDI, every track is composed solely with samples. There is no studio either, so the production-process is like a modern kind of home-recording. All in all a pretty cost- and space-saving way of making music."
