"Raymond Y. Chiao received his B. A. from Princeton University in 1961 and his Ph. D. from the MIT in 1965. He has been teaching at Berkeley since 1967. He was a Sloan Fellow and is presently a fellow of the American Physical Society and a fellow of the Optical Society of Ameria."
