Memes: Spiegel TV's State of The Nation feature, the Pim Fortuyn thread on Peter Praschl's log and his article in the current issue of Amica (all in German).

The Spiegel TV piece was the only straightforward, reasonable report dealing with the Erfurt shooting, and there were many. It didn't value, analyze or explain. It just showed the week after, all around Germany. People shocked, people demanding, people promising, people throwing stones on first of may, people bashing people who throw stones, people missing Adolf, Chancellor meeting media executives, doing something, his wive christening a ship, people reenacting 'glorious' battles of the past, LAN parties, victims, people with ideas, populistic and substantial. It simply let you draw your own conclusion.

Pim Fortuyn gave a lot of people in europe what they wanted: A little glamour, a bit against those bad corporations, cosmopolitan. As long as it doesn't disturb their job, eat, fuck routine. Moroccan analogy: Eating spicy lamb dishes, listening to the Momo's compilation, fancying Stella McCartney's fashion, but please, no Moroccans at home.
